AIRSEAL now offer a diagnostic testing service using the latest computerised infrared equipment to detect air leakage routes, missing or poor insulation and other causes of heat loss from homes.
Time and time again, case studies have proved that using infrared technology is the fastest, least invasive method for detecting problems which cause heat loss and higher fuel costs for homes.
AIRSEAL uses high performance thermal imaging cameras manufactured by Flir, the world’s leading manufacturer of this type of equipment.
These cameras can be used to:
- pinpoint missing, damaged or wet insulation
- identify and document heat loss problems
- identify sources of draughts
- identify the source of water infiltration
- detect conditions likely to support growth of mould and mildew
- increase energy efficiency and boost savings

Heat losses from buildings are accelerated by structural problems, poor construction practices, missing or in adequate insulation, moisture infiltration and air leakage.
Escaping heat causes a thermal signature that can be detected by an infrared camera.
From the data produced during the test we can issue a comprehensive report to the building developer, or owner, with detailed information about the locations, causes and extent of problems in the building tested.
